About | Gatwick Express is a fast, dedicated train service between London Gatwick Airport and central London. Running non-stop between London Victoria station and Gatwick Airport, the airport express train is renowned for its speed and frequency. With a timetable departure of every 15 minutes, on the clockface in both directions, and with a journey time of just 30 minutes, Gatwick Express is the favourite way to get to and from London Gatwick Airport. The platforms at Gatwick Airport are conveniently positioned directly beneath the South Terminal so customers have a quick escalator ride up into the terminal and arrive at check-in within minutes. Since July 2015 Gatwick Express has been part of the new Govia Thameslink Railway franchise, which brings all services between Gatwick and London under one operator. In January 2016, Gatwick Express launched contactless and Oyster card payments for pay as you go travel, in partnership with Transport for London, improving convenience and integration with the capital. Under the new operating franchise the Gatwick Express fleet is being replaced in 2016 with brand new trains with WiFi configured for airport passengers. Gatwick Express information, timetable and ticketing will be available in a brand new mobile app for summer 2016. |
