BULGARIA: Minister of Transport Ivailo Moskovski emphasized the importance of building a new rail link to Burgas Airport during the inspection of the renovated Burgas railway station in the city.

“Together with the Mayor of the City we have discussed the design on the railway connection to Sunny Beach. Within a month the project will be ready and if funding is provided, we shall launch it soon. The start of the Burgas railway junction, which will provide access to the airport, is due to start. Thus the tourists and city residents will have a convenient connection with the bus station, the railway station and the airport,” the Minister said.

Burgas Airport is the second largest airport in the country after the Sofia International Airport, which received its own rail link just last year.
