NORWAY: The board of Flytoget has appointed Philipp Engedal as a new CEO of the Oslo airport express rail service. Engedal has an MBA from the University of Mannheim and has extensive experience as a senior executive in various sectors, including retail, logistics, freight, building materials industry and transport. Engedal comes from a position as CEO of a bus operator Nobina Norge.

“We are very pleased with the appointment of Philipp Engedal as the new CEO of Flytoget. Engedal has a wide experience from both logistics and transport, which combined with his great business knowledge and strong analytical skills makes him the perfect person to represent the dynamics and innovation of Flytoget,” Chairman of the Board Wenche Kjølås said.

Previous CEO Linda Silseth has resigned in early March 2016. The Board began the recruitment process in April, with over hundred potential candidates competing for the position.

Philipp Engedal will start his position as the new CEO of Flytoget from 1st of January 2017.

Hans Kristensen will be acting CEO of Flytoget during the transition period, from 1st of August 2016 until 1st of January 2017.
